The Petaluma National Little League team returned home to Northern California and a heroes welcome at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds where an estimated crowd of 1500 fans, along with Network news vans and media, turned out to greet them. The little leaguers arrived in style, riding from the airport in a white, stretch Hummer limousine, the last part of their journey escorted by the Rip City Riders motorcycling group, and finally through a welcoming tour of town by a full escort from the Petaluma Police Department.
